Dmitri Anissimov

Tenor Dmitri Anissimov was born in Russia. His father was an orchestra conductor and his mother a director of a cultural center. Both of them imparted to him an early love of music. He began piano studies in a music school at the age of six, later adding saxophone and voice. At age twenty he toured Germany with the ensemble "Crater" singing as a soloist. Later, he joined the prestigious "Sveshnikov Ensemble," with which he toured the US. All the while, he continued his music studies at the Moscow Pedagogic University.

He is currently one of the principal soloists with the Ina Chalis Opera ensemble, performing leading roles in many presentations and helping to maintain the high level of the music presented in schools, senior centers, and other locations.
He currently lives in San Francisco, where he continues to expand his operatic repertoire, under the guidance of Ina Chalis, the ensemble's artistic director. His beautiful voice and sensitive musicality make him a singer in high demand.
