Joyce Whitelaw Pianist
	Joyce was born in Glasgow, Scotland and graduated from The Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama with a dual degree: B. A. in Vocal and Piano Performance (Opera & Classical Piano) and an academic minor in foreign languages. She went on to obtain a Diploma in Secondary Music Education from St. Andrews College of Education, also in Scotland.

A gifted composer, Joyce has created music for more than thirty songs for jazz, cabaret, several plays; a short, modern golf opera, “Il Giocatore,” and a variety of instrumentals for soundtracks. She has a unique talent for blending musical themes from diverse cultures. Her musical creations include original “Scottish Jazz” motifs, bouncy Italian jazz numbers, Italian-Scottish opera, Chinese opera and forceful and expansive Scottish music for the new millennium. Although classically trained, Joyce enjoys the music of the 30's and 40's, Broadway show tunes and a broad spectrum of international favorites she sings in a variety of languages. A versatile singer and pianist who glides from classical piano and opera into Latin jazz, Swing and beyond, Joyce entertains at many parties and special events. (Joyce is also an avid tennis player and golfer.)
